Why does stainless steel corrode – despite its promising name?

Unfortunately, there are many examples where errors in specification, application, handling, or detailing of stainless steel have resulted in unfortunate and costly problems. This course provides participants with a fundamental understanding of situations where it is necessary to “take a step back” when selecting and using stainless steel for a specific purpose.
